Ginkgo biloba  'Tit' (RHS Preferred name) syn. 'Chi Chi', 'Tschi Tschi' and 'Mamilaria'. This is a female tree originating from Japan. It derives its name from the irregular growths found on mature trees called chi-chis (resembling breasts, which are the beginning of support roots). This is a good garden tree, as it forms a pleasing shape and is relatively slow growing.
 
Description - Ginkgo biloba  'Tit' syn. 'Chi Chi', 'Tschi Tschi' and 'Mamilaria'. Has foliage which is slightly smaller than one would expect of the species. The annual rate of growth is 30 cm. It has a ‘fan like’ habit and has numerous branches. The height and spread are suggested by some sources to be 2 m in 10 years, but it is more likely to exceed 3 m. In the autumn this cultivar reliable produces a good display of butter yellow leaves prior to leaf fall.
