We belive it may have been selected by by Professor Stanisława Korszun from The University of Life Sciences in Poznań, Poland. This cultivar was named after Jogaila , Władysław II Jagiełło was the Grand Duke of Lithuania (1377–1434) and then the King of Poland (1386–1434), first alongside his wife Jadwiga until 1399, and then sole King of Poland to when he died in 1434.

Description - Ginkgo biloba ‘Jagiełło’ The foliage is cup shaped, not overly large. The rate of growth is modest at 20 cm a year. It is too early to suggest the eventual height and spread, however a height of 2m in 10 years can be projected from the growth rate. But the habit has not yet been determined, therefore we cannot speculate about the spread.
