Ginkgo biloba 'Jadwiga' is a female cultivar that originates from Poland. It was selected by Professor Stanisława Korszun from The University of Life Sciences in Poznań, Poland. It was registered in Poland in 2004. It was named in honour of Jadwiga was the first female monarch of the Kingdom of Poland, reigning from 16 October 1384 until her death on the 17th July 1899.
Description - Ginkgo biloba ‘Jadwiga’ The leaves are clearly wedge-shaped at the base, and deeply lobed. The foliage is not overly large, and the rate of growth is modest at 20 cm a year. It is too early to suggest the eventual height and spread, however a height of 2m in 10 years can be projected from the growth rate. But the habit has not yet been determined, therefore we cannot speculate about the spread.
