A specimen was obtained from David Bömer, Boomkwekerij David Bömer, Vagevuurstraat 6A, 4882 NK Zundert, Netherlands. The originator of this plant is not known.

Description - Ginkgo biloba ‘Illusion’ syn. ‘Rel Illusion’. The foliage is an unusual triangular shape. The variegation is subtle, which has obviously given rise to its name. It is quite slow growing, the young plant in The National Collection of Ginkgo biloba and Cultivars grows 10cm - 15 cm a year. It is too early to make judgements about habit of the eventual dimensions of the plant. But certainly, a cultivar to watch!
