Gingko biloba 'Golden Colonade' - A fine selection from Dr. Michael Dirr from the U.S.A.  He fostered the Georgia Plant Introduction Program, a program which has been widely emulated by other states and the program has contributed over 50 new plant introductions of different Genera into the trade.  Ginkgo biloba ‘Golden Colonade’® JFS-UGA2 should prove to be an outstanding tree for street plantings and tight urban spaces.
 
Description - Ginkgo biloba ‘Golden Colonade’® JFS-UGA2 is a male cultivar. The foliage is fairly typical of the species. The annual growth rate is approximately 30 cm. It produces a strong leader and a vigorous framework of ascending branches developing, eventually developing a broad columnar habit. It is expected to reach a height of approximately 10 - 14 metres with a width of 7 metres. As with many Ginkgoes, this plant also has good autumn colour.
