Ginkgo biloba  ‘Father Hennipen’ Our thanks for Mr. Charles Hunter from the U.S.A for providing a scion of this interesting tree. It was propagated from a street tree because of its foliage and interesting habit by Charles Hunter. Father Hennipen is from a street tree on Hennipen Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA to add to the collection.

Description - Ginkgo biloba  ‘Father Hennipen’. The foliage is reminiscent of Ginkgo biloba  ‘Saratoga’. Whilst variable many of the leaves have a central split. Charles hunter describes the tree growing in Hennipen Avenue as " has distinctly descending branches and an erect leader”. Growth rate is 20 cm, suggesting a young tree would be approximately 2 m tall in 10 years.
